Attapoo Competition

'Pookhalam' consists of two words, 'poov' meaning flower and 'kalam' means colour sketches on the ground. It is considered auspicious to prepare Pookalam, also known as 'Aththa-Poo' during the festival of Onam.

See how our 3 groups of ladies dedicated in completing their Attapoo. The younger group came up with a theme " Vallamkali" meaning Water Game or Boat Race. The other 2 groups uses flower theme (traditional). And the winner goes to.......... the younger group with their new and creative theme. But I must say that I love all the 3 Attapoo on that day. Thanks to them the hall looks beautiful that day.
